The Science Diversity Group (SDG) seeks to recruit and retain diverse graduate students in the interdisciplinary sciences to increase the diversity of PhD level scientists in both academia and industry.

The first program of its kind on the Berkeley campus, the SDG faculty have committed to participating in diversity recruitment each year. SDG Faculty represent diverse Berkeley Departments and research interests. It is our hope that uniting individual efforts will make a lasting impact on diversity in the sciences at Berkeley.
